Privacy policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
The short version
- You can play without an account. We never ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
- Your scores, streak and daily progress are saved only in your own browser. We can’t see them.
- We show ads from Google to keep the site free. Where the law requires it, Google’s ad cookies are only used after you agree, and you can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings at the bottom of every page.
- We don’t sell your information.
Who is responsible
Eradle (https://eradle.com) is run by the operator of Eradle, based in Mexico, the “controller” of any personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
What is stored and why
In your browser (local storage)
To make the games work, Eradle saves a few items in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, and we have no copy. See the cookie and storage notice for the full list. These are strictly necessary for features you use (keeping your daily puzzle, streak and statistics), so they don’t need consent under EU and UK rules. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
When you visit (server logs)
Like every website, our host (Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.)) receives technical information when your browser loads a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. The host uses it to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, and keeps it only briefly. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
When you report an error
“Report an error” opens your own email app with a message addressed to [email protected]. If you send it, we receive your email address and what you wrote, and use them only to check and fix the report and, if needed, to reply. We delete reports once they are dealt with, and at the latest after 12 months. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the game accurate (Art. 6(1)(f)). A copy of your report also stays in your browser.
Advertising
Eradle shows ads served by Google (Google AdSense). Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ads and prevent fraud, and, if you allow it, to show ads based on your interests. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, this only happens after you choose in the consent message, which uses Google’s certified consent tool (IAB Transparency and Consent Framework). Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with Privacy settings in the footer. Without consent you may still see ads that are not personalised.
Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites . You can turn off personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com .
Images and fonts
All flags, maps and fonts are served from our own site. Loading a page does not send your IP address to Wikimedia, Google Fonts or any other third party, apart from the ad services above.
Who receives data
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes server logs on our behalf.
- Cloudflare (Email Routing) and our mailbox provider, for messages and error reports you choose to send.
- Google and the ad partners listed in the consent message, as described above.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) where the company is certified, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
How long we keep it
Browser storage stays until you clear it. Server logs are kept by the host for a short period for security. Error-report emails are deleted once handled, within 12 months at most.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier use. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Because Eradle has no accounts, most of your data lives only in your browser, where you control it fully. For anything else, email [email protected]; we answer within one month.
Under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, you also have the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (“ARCO” rights) and may withdraw your consent. Send requests to [email protected], saying which right you want to use; we reply within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Mexican data protection authority.
United States: your state privacy rights
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can ask what personal information we have, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising. We don’t sell personal information for money. Showing personalised ads can count as “sharing” under some state laws. To opt out, use “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in Privacy settings in the footer. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected].
Children
Eradle is a general-audience trivia site and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example in an error report), email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, such as starting to show ads, we’ll also say so on the home page.
